NAME

nulivetime -- Apply the dead time correction to the temporal keywords of the NuSTAR event files.

USAGE

nulivetime infile hkfile outfile [parameter = < value >]

DESCRIPTION

'nulivetime' applies the dead time corrections and updates the temporal keywords of the screened NuSTAR event files. The dead time correction is calculated using information stored in the input file 'hkfile' and written in the keyword 'DEADC' of the output event file. 'nulivetime' also updates the 'EXPOSURE' and 'LIVETIME' keywords.

PARAMETERS

infile [file name]
Name of the input FITS Event File.

hkfile [file name]
Name of the input Housekeeping FITS File.

outfile [file name]
Name of the output FITS Event File or NONE to overwrite the input file

(clobber=no) [boolean]
If clobber=yes overwrite the output file.

(chatter = 3) [integer]
Chatter Level (min=0, max=5).

(history=yes) [boolean]
If set to 'yes', write history keywords to the output file.

  1. Applies the dead time corrections to the input cleaned event file nu40060001001A01_cl.evt. 

     > nulivetime infile=nu40060001001A01_cl.evt hkfile=nu40060001001A_fpm.hk 
   outfile=NONE
