Future developments
As the pattern recognition is a time consuming part (however, much less than
the CTI correction) of
epevents, the user might not want to repeat this if e.g. the
calibration changed. If the parameter patternanalysis is equal `no',
the epevents
task will be restarted only after the pattern analysis.
The parameter is not active yet.
The rejection of MIP events can be done as part of
the on-board event processing. This results in a rejection of columns
where such events have been detected.
The discarded lines information (from onboard CR detections)
is the sum over several (default 20) frames. For full correction
epevents, however, would need this information per CCD/quadrant and
frame for its pattern analysis. Therefore depending on on-board
preprocessing the pattern products from epevents
can have higher or
lower quality.
