Determine Which Installation Procedure to Use

Use this table to as a quick reference for finding the installation procedure that you need.

For information about licenses and activation types, see License Options and Activation Types.

IF you have...	THEN you...	AND use these procedures:
An Internet connection and a DVD	Insert the DVD into the drive on your computer before running the MATLAB^® installer.	Licensed End Users Install Products Using a MathWorks Account Administrators Install on an Individual Computer
An Internet connection and no DVD	Download the software from mathworks.com before running the MATLAB installer.	Licensed End Users and Students Install Products Using a MathWorks Account Administrators Install on an Individual Computer Download Products Without Installation
No Internet connection You want to install products offline.	Need a File Installation Key to install the software.	Install Products with a File Installation Key
Group Member Licenses	Associate users with a Group Member license. Assign products to Group Members.	Set Up Group Member Licenses Install Software for Group Member Licenses Activate Group Member Licenses
Concurrent Licenses	Install the license manager and the MATLAB software.	Install License Manager Using a MathWorks Account Install the Software in a Concurrent License
