    makeObj(name) - create a new VMDObject with given name
    getObj(name)  - return existing VMDObject with given name
    tclCommand(command) - execute the tcl command in the vmd interpreter
    deleteAll()         - delete all objects in vmd from this session
    setCenter(pos)      - set point about which rotations occur
    vmdLocal()          - boolean, whether vmd and xplor are running 
			  on same machine.
