Volume Rendering
The volume rendering feature enables to see the content of a volume in 3D by transparency. It is a way to have a look at the data without segmentation steps, but it can be difficult to choose the correct color palette and opacity.
Warning
This feature uses a lot of graphical card power and a correct driver. So, it may not work or it may be slow on some computers.
- Load a T1 MRI:
data_for_anatomist/subject01/subject01.nii
.
- Select the volume, click on
and choose VolumeRendering.
- Put the VolumeRendering object in a 3D window.
- In this window, open the menu Scene => Tools.
- Check Clipping plane => Single plane.
- Select the oblique view control
- Rotate the cut plane: Shift Key + middle button + mouse move.
- Modify the color palette, the bounds. You can also create a custom palette with the gradient palette editor.
There is another way cut a volume rendering object by a plane:
- Select the volume rendering object and click on

- Choose FusionClipMethod. It creates a Clipped object.
- Put the object in a 3D window. You can move the cut plane with the control
